About Department

Department has been established to design and offer courses MCA, MSc(Computer Science)and BCA with an objective of producing the best computer professionals to keep swiftness with the R&D activities in this fast emerging field of Computer Applications. Ever since its inception in 1986, the department strives to meet the computing needs of different sectors and offering specially designed courses to their students. The department consistently updates curriculum as per the changing requirements of the industry by considering suggestions from qualified board of studies committee involving efficient members from the field of industry, research and academia. The department has witnessed around 70 percent placements in reputed companies and also seen students opting for promoting start-ups and higher studies. Department is always getting constant encouragement and support for uplifting the quality of education from the management with divine blessings of His Holiness Swamiji.

The Department of Computer Applications provides a vibrant learning environment for the overall development of the student. We have well qualified and steadfast faculty to provide qualitative, Industry tuned education to students. Our course is structured in such a way that it provides academic excellence with strong work ethic by creating experiences that extend classroom learning into the real world. Our department promotes and practice entrepreneurial culture and Professional ethics in the student communities which helps evolve as leaders with social concerns.

Our department has a strong label in research and development activities, which highly promotes interdisciplinary research and focus on problems that have a significant social impact and many faculty and students own outstanding awards and honors for their achievements.  The department has consistently maintained an excellent recruitment record and has a strong lively alumnus that extends across the globe.

The department offers three programs viz. BCA,MCA and MSc(Computer Science)with an intake of 120,120 and 30 respectively. Department has the following salient features:

Short Term

  2. Implementation of the adaptive curriculum inclining with NEP 2020 to meet the requirements of the Industry and Society.
  3. To extend the collaboration with academicians from benchmark institutes and industry experts to ensures that our activities are well aligned with the global requirements.

MCA Association:

The MCA Association of SJCE instituted in the year 1996 has actively organized several technical and cultural program. MCA association is striving hard to overcome the technical challenges in order to reinstate its existence over the years to come. MCA being a professional postgraduate program has formed its own association which concerns not only with guiding students on technical aspects but also gives equal importance to acquire managerial skills.

MCA Association focuses on the objectives such as:

  • To organize various technical events.
  • To build leadership skills among students.
  • To create awareness in the industry about the technical ability of MCA students.
  • To arrange lecture by delegates of IT industry for the benefit of students
  • To keep alumni in touch with development in the institution.

  • To make the students work in group environment & understand the problem & solve.
