As you know, these pandemic times are specially difficult for underprivileged children in schools/ Institutes. They have been deprived of their education for want of a suitable smartphone or laptop and internet connection.

To address the issue, Mr Dhananjay V. Gadre, Associate Professor, ECE Division, NSUT, Delhi has started a website:

 https://donatesmartphone.in/

The idea is to collect new/ used smartphones and give them to deserving, underprivileged kids/ teenager to help them to continue their school/ institutes education, since the entire school/ institues education, at least for early classes is through online mode. You may contribute whatever you may like in your personal capacity. You may also share this information in your network and most of all, if you know any corporate sponsors, you could help connect with him. He has a team of volunteer students to take care of the phones, fix them, get them repaired and then connect with government schools for distribution. They also plan to connect to private schools/institututes to connect to their EWS students.

For more information you may contact: Mr Dhananjay V. Gadre, Associate Professor, ECE Division, e-mail: dvgadre@nsit.ac.in , dvgadre@gmail.com

In view of the above, AICTE requests your institution to disseminate this information among all students and faculty members so that interested students/ faculty members can participate in it.
