JSS Science and Technology University (JSS STU) collaborates with Indian Rubber Institute (IRI), sets up a Centre of Excellence
As per Govt. of India’s Automotive Mission Plan, by 2026, India will be the third-largest automobile manufacturer globally, 12% of GDP will be from automobile sector and will generate around 65 million employment, JSS STU Mysuru which is in the forefront in bridging the gap between industry and institution signed MOU with IRI to set up a Centre of Excellence at their campus.
IRI, is a professional body of rubber technologists, engineers, scientists, academicians and other professionals and organizations associated with the rubber and allied industry in India. JSS Mahavidyapeetha has provided 10,000 Sq ft of land on a long term lease to set up this COE which will serve as a national referral hub to disseminate knowledge in all aspects of rubber science and
technology. Joint research, seminars, workshops, publications will be the key area of focus. This centre will facilitate employment and encourages students to become entrepreneurs, who in turn would generate further employment and contribute to MSME segments.
A formal MOU was signed and exchanged between Dr C G Betsurrmath , Executive Secretary, JSS MVP, Mysuru and Dr R Mukhopadhyay, Chairman, Governing Council, IRI, Mysuru today in the divine presence of His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivaratri Deshikendra Mahaswamigalavaru .
ಇಂಡಿಯನ್ ರಬ್ಬರ್ ಇನ್ಸ್ಟಿಟ್ಯೂಟ್ (ಐಆರ್ಐ) ಸಹಯೋಗದೊಂದಿಗೆ ‘ಸೆಂಟರ್ ಆಫ್ ಎಕ್ಸಲೆನ್ಸ್’ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿದ ಜೆಎಸ್ಎಸ್ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಮತ್ತು ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ (ಜೆಎಸ್ಎಸ್ ಎಸ್ ಟಿಯು)
ಭಾರತ ಸಕಾòರದ ಆಟೋಮೋಟಿವ್ ಮಿಷನ್ ಯೋಜನೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ 2026 ರ ವೇಳೆಗೆ ಭಾರತ ಜಾಗತಿಕವಾಗಿ ಮೂರನೆಯ ಅತಿದೊಡ್ಡ ವಾಹನ ತಯಾರಕ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರವಾಗಲಿದೆ, ಒಟ್ಟು ದೇಶೀಯ ಉತ್ಪನ್ನದ ಶೇ. 12 ರಷ್ಟು ವಾಹನ ವಲಯದಿಂದ ಬರುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸುಮಾರು 65 ಮಿಲಿಯನ್ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಉದ್ಯಮ ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ಇರುವ ಅಂತರವನ್ನು ನಿವಾರಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂಚೂಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಜೆಎಸ್ಎಸ್ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಮತ್ತು ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ (ಜೆಎಸ್ಎಸ್ ಎಸ್ ಟಿಯು) ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಆವರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ‘ಸೆಂಟರ್ ಆಫ್ ಎಕ್ಸಲೆನ್ಸ್’ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲು ‘ಇಂಡಿಯನ್ ರಬ್ಬರ್ ಇನ್ಸ್ಟಿಟ್ಯೂಟ್’ (ಐಆರ್ಐ) ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಗೆ ಸಹಿ ಹಾಕಿತು.
ಇಂಡಿಯನ್ ರಬ್ಬರ್ ಇನ್ಸ್ಟಿಟ್ಯೂಟ್, ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ರಬ್ಬರ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಂಯೋಜಿಸಿರುವ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರ್ ಗಳು, ವಿಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳು, ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ತಜ್ಞರುಗಳನ್ನೊಳಗೊಂಡ ವೃತ್ತಿಪರ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಸೆಂಟರ್ ಆಫ್ ಎಕ್ಸಲೆನ್ಸ್ ಅನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲು ಜೆಎಸ್ಎಸ್ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಪೀಠವು 10000 ಚದರ ಅಡಿ ಜಾಗವನ್ನು ಐಆರ್ಐ ಗೆ ದೀಘò ಕಾಲದ ಅವಧಿಗೆ ಗುತ್ತಿಗೆ ನೀಡಿದೆ. ಈ ಸೆಂಟರ್ ಆಫ್ ಎಕ್ಸಲೆನ್ಸ್ ‘ರಬ್ಬರ್ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಮತ್ತು ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ’ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಆಯಾಮಗಳ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಪಸರಿಸುವ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಕೇಂದ್ರವಾಗಿ ಕಾಯòನಿವòಹಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ಸೆಂಟರ್ ನಿಂದಾಗಿ ಅನೇಕ ವಿದ್ಯಾಥಿòಗಳಿಗೆ ಉದ್ಯೋಗಾವಕಾಶಗಳು ದೊರೆಯಲಿವೆ.
ಜೆಎಸ್ಎಸ್ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಪೀಠದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಪರಮಪೂಜ್ಯ ಜಗದ್ಗುರು ಶ್ರೀ ಶಿವರಾತ್ರಿ ದೇಶೀಕೇಂದ್ರ ಮಹಾಸ್ವಾಮಿಗಳವರ ದಿವ್ಯ ಸಾನಿಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ, ಜೆಎಸ್ಎಸ್ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಪೀಠದ ಕಾಯòನಿವಾòಹಕ ಕಾಯòದಶಿòಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಐಆರ್ಐ ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಆಡಳಿತ ಸಮಿತಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿರುವ ಡಾ. ಆರ್ ಮುಖೋಪಾಧ್ಯಾಯರವರು ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಗೆ ಸಹಿ ಹಾಕಿದರು.
