The University invites applications from highly motivated and research-oriented eligible applicants for admission to the Ph. D. program in various faculties viz., a) Faculty of Engineering and Technology, b) Faculty of Science and c) Faculty of Management Studies for the academic year 2022 – ’23. Eligibility for Faculty of Engineering and Technology
Candidates for admission to the Ph.D. Program shall have a Master’s degree or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7- point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed).
Eligibility for Faculty of Science
The Candidates shall possess M.Sc. / M.Phil. Degree in Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics / MCA, and such other allied disciplines, recognized by the University with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7- point scale.
Eligibility for Faculty of Management Studies
The Candidates shall possess MBA / Equivalent Degree from a recognized University with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7- point scale.
A candidate who is studying the final semester of PG program is also eligible to apply for Ph.D. program of this University.
A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled and other categories of candidates.
The admission shall be based on the criteria notified by the University, keeping in view the guidelines/norms in this regard issued by the UGC and other statutory bodies concerned, and taking into account the reservation policy of the Central/State Government from time to time. Candidates are required to obtain a minimum specified score by the University in the qualifying exams and interview.
The registration for PhD will be through rigorous evaluation process, which includes an entrance test, interview by admission committee and evaluation by the selection committee. Mere application does not imply admission into the PhD program.
The decision of the University will be final in the selection of candidates for all Ph.D. programs.
Scholarship/Assistantship will be provided for the meritorious full-time students
