CyberPeace Foundation (CPF) is an award-winning nonpartisan civil society organization, think tank of cybersecurity and policy experts with the vision of pioneering CyberPeace Initiatives to build collective resiliency against cybercrimes & global threats of cyber warfare. CPF is involved in Policy Advocacy, Research and Training related to all aspects of CyberPeace and Cyber Security. Key areas of CyberPeace Foundation work are in Technology Governance, Policy Review and Advocacy, Capacity and Capability creation and building through partnerships with various government organizations, academic institutions and civil society entities.As a global NGO, we align our work with the United Nation’s five sustainable development goals, including achieving gender equality and female empowerment; developing industry, innovation, and infrastructure; making our world’s cities safer, more inclusive, and more resilient and sustainable; promoting peace and justice through strong and ethical institutions; and keeping alive a vision for sustainable development through global partnerships. We believe these goals are within reach when our connected world – the Internet -is a safer, more secure and more equitable place of peaceful knowledge transfer, ideation and connection.
GCC is a journey to recognize and award young talent and build solutions to some pressing problems that our society faces. The objective of the challenge is to both present technical challenges to identify talent and to tap their innovative approach to solving critical real-world problems.
It is our proud privilege to share that inaugural edition of GCC was organized in 2017 as a run-up event of the fifth edition of Global Conference on Cyber Space (GCCS) 2017 which was hosted in India. The inaugural edition was organized by CyberPeace Foundation in collaboration with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India and Policy Perspectives Foundation. The GCC 1.0 saw a huge response in the terms of participation where more than 50 countries with 2000+ individuals participated in the competition.
The Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi graced the event and handed over the prizes to the winners, accompanied by the Hon’ble prime Minister of Sri Lanka Shri Ranil Wickremesinghe and Secretary General of ITU, Mr. Houlin Zhao. The stage was also shared by the then IT and Law Minister of India Shri Ravishankar Prasad along with other Union Ministers of India. It was relayed live on various National and International TV Channels and Social Media, garnering more than one million views.
The second edition of Global CyberPeace Challenge has been announced, virtually. The challenge is divided into three sub challenges: Cyber Policy & Strategy Challenge, Peace-a-Thon: The innovation challenge and Capture the Flag (CTF). The GCC is designed to promote inclusive growth, it is open to all individuals from any background. This year it is expected that more than 50000 individuals will participate in the competition. Please find this mail as a proposal to be one of the partners of The Global CyberPeace Challenge (GCC) 2.0. This will help young talents to get recognition for their efforts globally and also ensure channelizing their energy in these unprecedented times of the pandemic. We strongly believe that Global CyberPeace Challenge will serve as a platform to bring Industry, academia, government and civil society together to come up with solutions to the existing problem of cyberspace and to enable peaceful exchanges on the internet.
Who can Participate?
Any Engineering Graduate can participate. Global CyberPeace Challenge will convene some of the world’s leading policy makers, executives, innovators and investors to explore how Cyberspace can be used for good.We are also committed to ensuring gender diversity in the cyber security workforce of the future.

Competitions
Track 1 : CYBER POLICY & STRATEGY CHALLENGE
This is a competitive scenario simulation exercise to respond to a realistic, evolving international cyber crisis. The main aim of this simulation is to understand the policy and strategy challenge associated with management of trade-offs during the cyber crisis.
This also helps us assess the cyber capabilities, responsibilities, policy and the current cyber-governance structure.
A cyber crisis scenario will be presented to the teams. The team that is best equipped with knowledge of foreign policy and cybersecurity, to solve the issue, will be declared the winner.
Track 2 : PEACE-A-THON
After the list of problem statements is published, participants will be given a stipulated time to produce solution proposals. These proposals will be evaluated by the panel comprising of the stakeholders that were part of the problem statement formulation process along with industry and other experts.
The best entries from this stage will be selected for participation at the grand finale.
Track 3 : CAPTURE THE FLAG (CTF)
The CTF track of the challenge will be conducted as regional rounds in various countries. Best teams from the regional rounds will then compete at a new CTF challenge during the grand finale.
