AICTE is collaborating with a nationwide contest IICDC 2019 – India Innovation Challenge Design Contest an initiative with the Department of Science and Technology (DST) and Texas Instruments; anchored by NSRCEL, Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIMB) and supported by MyGov. The contest is open for all Indian engineering students pursuing undergraduate, postgraduate &Doctoral degrees with Indian engineering colleges.
AICTE desires that, you to inspire, motivate and drive all your Faculty and student innovators who are thinkers and makers of the country to join the revolution to create something new, aspire to make a difference, contribute to India’s success towards becoming an Innovation Hub.
The India Innovation Challenge Design Contest (IICDC) has grown from strength to strength every year since its inception in 2016. IICDC 2018 edition has seen exponential growth in the participation by 26511 students from 1760 colleges submitting 10146 ideas who dream of paving future of India with engineering solutions and path-breaking innovative ideas. The contest has seen engineering students launch 30 start-ups & file over 175 patents.
AICTE’s mission to develop robust technical institutions and promote a scientific mindset is perfectly aligned with IICDC’s mission to strengthen technical innovation in India. We see students as India’s change-makers with the responsibility to drive cutting edge technological innovation. We understand that the next big idea can come from any corner of the country! Our message to the student community is simple – no matter which college you study in or which pin code you reside in, if you have a powerful idea and a drive to make a difference, IICDC will give you an opportunity to achieve your goal.
Actions Requested:
a- Please ensure to have 80% of your students participate in IICDC 2019 by Aug 30th. The link is https://innovate.mygov.in/
b- Please ensure to post the attached Creative on Top half of the Home Page of your institute website. The IICDC 2019 creative should be statically placed up to October 2019.
c- Once 80% of your students complete the registrations, please send the confirmation to ti-india-dc@list.ti.com
