Team JSS STU, SJCE won the first place and a cash prize of Rs 75,000/-, in the BioQuiz 2019 held at Bengaluru Palace, Bengaluru on 20th November 2019.
The BioQuiz 2019 (India’s Largest State level Bioquiz) was organized by KBITS (Karnataka Biotechnology and Information Technology Services), Department of IT, BT and S & T; Government of Karnataka. It was an open event to the students from Karnataka currently pursuing their B.Sc, B.Sc Agri, B. Pharma, B.Tech- Biotech, BTFS, BE- Biotechnology, BE- Biomedical Engineering and BE-Biomedical Signal Processing and Instrumentation courses. The first round of the quiz was held at the regional level divided into 6 zones ie, Kalburgi, Manipal, Mysore, Shimoga, Dharwad, Bangalore regions. The quiz for the Mysore region was held at Pooja Bhagavat Memorial Mahajana Post-Graduation Centre on 12th November 2019. Among all the participated teams in Mysore zone team JSSSTU-SJCE consisting of Mr. Sayeeswar Anirutho P.K. and Mr. Aneesh Kalkur of 7th & 5th Semester, B.E Biotechnology, SJCE, won the first place and got qualified for the state finals.
The state finals was conducted on 20th November 2019, at Bengaluru Palace, Bangalore-Tech Summit, Bengaluru. The participants comprised of all the six-zone winners. Team JSSSTU-SJCE bagged the first place and a cash prize of Rs 75,000/- at the final round.
